Each child and family member will have his or her own Username and Password to sign into the Internet. This ensures that the child or user of the Username & Password is only allowed to experience the Internet as determined by the parents or the family administrator. The child Username & Password will work with any Knology connection that has signed up for Knology NetSafe and will apply the rules set by the parents. Every person that chooses to access the Internet, will have to have an User Name & Password.
The Knology NetSafe Filter can be turned off & on per individual user. With the filter turned on, the filter not only blocks known un-appropriate web sites, but also takes the extra step to scan each web-site that is about to be viewed to ensure that the subject matter is appropriate content. With Knology NetSafe Plus, parents can customize the sites viewed as a Family rule or an Individual rule to allow or block additional sites on top of the filter.
With this feature, Parents can Monitor User activity from work or while away. Changes can also be made to each individual user remotely. Parents can use this feature to turn access off while not at home and turn access back on when deemed appropriate.
This feature allows Parents to apply the same rules to everyone in the Family. Parents can Allow the family to view certain sites that are blocked by the filter or Block sites that no matter what the content, they do not want their family to be able to access this site.
